Why Operators Migrate to Codono

Escape revenue sharing

Stop giving away a percentage of every trade. Codono is a one-time license with no revenue sharing, volume limits, or per-user fees.

Own the source code

Get full, unencrypted source code for the exchange, admin panel, wallets, and mobile apps so you can audit, extend, and self-host everything.

Reduce vendor lock-in

Move off restrictive SaaS terms, forced upgrades, and black-box infrastructure. Your data and stack stay under your control.

Scale without platform limits

From Ultra to Enterprise, choose an architecture that matches your throughput, jurisdiction, and custom-development needs.

What We Migrate

User accounts & KYC records

Import registered users, verification statuses, identity documents, and KYC audit trails.

Wallet balances & transaction history

Migrate on-chain and internal balances, deposit/withdrawal ledgers, and transaction histories.

Trading pairs & order books

Recreate listed markets, price precision, fee schedules, and open order snapshots where supported by the source platform.

Deposits, withdrawals & P&L

Reconcile historical fiat and crypto movements, fees collected, and platform profit-and-loss records.

Referral & fee configurations

Carry over affiliate tiers, commission rules, trading-fee brackets, and withdrawal limits.

Branding & frontend customization

Apply your logos, colors, domain, email templates, and UI copy so the new platform feels continuous to users.

Migration Process

01

Discovery & scope

We audit your current platform, map data schemas, identify API or export limitations, and define a cutover window that minimizes business disruption.

02

Data export & staging import

User records, balances, KYC data, trading history, and configuration are exported, sanitized, and imported into a private Codono staging environment.

03

Reconciliation & testing

We run on-chain plus internal balance checks, validate user totals, and coordinate user-acceptance testing (UAT) before any production cutover.

04

Branding & compliance setup

Connect your KYC/AML provider, configure jurisdiction rules, set fee schedules, and apply frontend branding so the exchange is market-ready.

05

Cutover & go-live

A coordinated launch with a brief withdrawal freeze, DNS cutover, final balance sync, and post-launch monitoring to ensure a smooth transition.

Source Platforms We Migrate From

ChainUP

Move off ChainUP's hosted model to a self-hosted Codono deployment with full source-code access.

HollaEx

Replace HollaEx's cloud-first approach with a white-label platform you control end-to-end.

AlphaPoint

Transition from AlphaPoint to Codono Enterprise for microservices scale and zero revenue sharing.

OpenDAX

Modernize older OpenDAX infrastructure with Codono's updated trading engine and mobile apps.

SaaS white-labels

Escape monthly fees and rev-share by bringing your exchange in-house on your own servers.

Custom builds

Rescue expensive custom projects and migrate users to a maintained, production-tested platform.

If our team cannot deploy the licensed platform to your agreed infrastructure under the documented technical requirements, we will work with you at no additional cost until deployment is complete.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a crypto exchange migration take?
Typical migrations range from 3 to 8 weeks depending on the source platform, data volume, and required customizations. A clean API or database export can shorten the timeline; legacy or heavily customized platforms may need additional discovery and mapping time.
Is our user and wallet data safe during migration?
Yes. Migration is performed in a private staging environment using encrypted transfers. We never ask for private keys, and sensitive exports are handled under strict confidentiality. Reconciliation checks confirm balance integrity before go-live.
Will the exchange need to go offline during cutover?
Most cutovers require a brief maintenance window—often a few hours—to freeze deposits/withdrawals, perform the final sync, and switch DNS. Trading can usually resume quickly once reconciliation is verified and monitoring is active.
Which platforms can you migrate from?
We regularly migrate operators from ChainUP, HollaEx, AlphaPoint, OpenDAX, cloud white-label SaaS platforms, and custom-built exchanges. If your platform can export user records, balances, and transaction history, we can usually build a migration path.
How much does migration cost?
Migration is scoped as a fixed-price or time-and-materials engagement based on data complexity and source-platform access. Migration can be bundled with an Ultra or Enterprise license; contact sales for a detailed assessment and quote.
Can we upgrade to Enterprise as part of the migration?
Yes. Many operators use migration as the opportunity to move to Codono Enterprise for microservices architecture, dedicated engineering support, and multi-jurisdiction licensing. We can combine migration planning with an Enterprise deployment.
